2:32AM JST - “A day visiting cafés!”

Hi there, it’s late. I know. Jo-anne and I were playing online quizzes and it got later than expected. So here I am yet with another log!

Today we had a reservation on the planning. We had previously seen that there was a BT21 Café in Shibuya!! I didn’t even know it was open until a few days before. So I made an online reservation for today at 15:10. So we had a while before we actually had to be there.

So first we decided to visit a hedgehog cafe!! The past few days we visited quite a lot of animal cafes but it was so worth it! All the animals are just super duper adorable. The hedgehog cafe was basically across the road from the BT21 cafe so we could quickly switch if needed.
We entered the cafe and we paid to be there for an hour and got treats for the hedgehogs too. We were seated in front of a manger with 3 adorable hedgehogs in there. One of the caretakers showed us how to pick them up and hold them. You got a pair of gloves to protect you from the spikes and you were supposed to scoop them up from underneath them. At first the hedgehogs were quite calm and the first one I picked up was a but sleepy I think because it nuzzled in my hand and went to sleep. They were so cute!! And they had a lot of hedgehogs too. There were about four mangers and quite a lot of other places for the hedgehogs to be and in the middle they had a big resting area for them. Those were the ones that had already been in de manger or were just having a break from people picking them up.

2:08PM JST 28th of March - “In the train to Ikebukuro writing yesterday’s log”

So.... I didn’t upload yesterday :,) I fell asleep writing this and I only woke up the next day. I’ll continue writing now and I guess you’ll just get 2 logs for today. I can’t help it.

Anyway the hedgehog cafe! We got a free drink too from a vending machine again just like in the Animal shelter zoo in Asakusa. We spent about an hour in the cafe and the longer we were there the more active our hedgehogs became. Now when you picked them up they started walking over your hand and it was a bit hard to contain them XD Cute nontheless and their spikes weren’t even that prickly. They were quite soft (how soft spikes can be XD) well these hedgehogs were Pygmy hedgehogs, a legal species to have as pets in Japan. Therefore you could also buy a hedgehog in this cafe. If I lived here I might have. They are very low maintenance pets and don’t crave much human attention and they’re just adorably cute animals.
Jo-anne and I both bought some souvenirs from the shop and said our goodbyes. That was really an hour spent well.

We still had some time before we had to line up for the BT21 café. So we roamed around Shibuya for a bit. We were a bit hungry as we hadn’t really had a proper meal yet only small snacks. We passed by a corndog stand and decided to take one and take a dessert at the BT21 café. I had a corndog with a sausage inside and small potato cubes in the dough and Jo-Anne had the same but then with mozzarella inside instead of a sausage. Corndogs are so freakin tasty and it’s a shame we don’t really have them in the Netherlands.

Now it was finally time to line up for the BT21 cafe. We had to be there 20 minutes before the said time and we were 3rd in the line. Because we reserved online we got a special gift which was a random glitter sticker of one of the 8 characters. I got a Chimmy sticker and Jo-Anne got a Koya one! After that we got a menu and an order sheet on which we had to fill in what stuff we exactly wanted before we could enter the cafe. It was quite a struggle to get everything right as there was no english order sheet so we didn’t really know what everything said. Thank god for Google translate camera option :D Thanks to that we did get most of what we wanted.
It kind of went wrong with our drinks. There were two blocks and I wanted a special take-out bottle which you were allowed to take home and Jo-Anne wanted just a drink. Well in the end Jo-Anne got a Koya glass for her to take home and I got a drink and the take-out bottle. We wanted to share the drink we it was a kiwi drink and Jo-Annes’ allergic to kiwi so that was a no-go.

Once inside we got a number and got to choose a random coaster too! I pulled Van and Jo-Anne once again pulled a Koya coaster XD she really was lucky that day, she only got Koya related stuff!
We were led up to the third floor and seated at a table. The inside was so cute, they had projectors on which they projected small video’s of each characters on the walls, the tables were decorated with them too and BTS music was playing throughout the whole cafe! We handed over our order sheet and waited for the food to arrive.
The numbers we got were apparently for the chance to buy some exclusive merchandise on the second floor. They would announce the numbers who could come to the shop but it was all in Japanese so we didn’t hear that our number was already being called out. So when I asked for when we could go to the merch section the waitress said we had already been called out so we quickly went to it. I bought 3 keychains and we went back to our seats.
Our food had already arrived by then, we had both ordered crêpes topped with fruits and got jelly on the side! It was tasty and it was a nice dessert after the corndogs.

After we were done eating we left and went on our way to Tower Records for Jo-Anne to buy some more k-pop albums. We wandered around a bit more and de idee to go a find a place for dinner! We already had a place in mind! We wanted to do 5is a few days ago but then we got interrupted by a few boys XD
Anyway we went to Genki Sushi! Which was a bit more advanced than your typical conveyor belt sushi. At this place you had a screen in front of you where you could place your order on. Behind that were 3 lanes where a platform would go back and forth. You’d place your order and wait for the screen to give a pop-up with the message ‘Your order will arrive soon’. Then on one of the three lanes the platform would zoom right in front of you with your order on it. You’d pick your plate off it and tap your screen to it knew you had picked off the plate and it could go back to the kitchen. It as very fun and very convenient to do! You had choice from many different sushi’s and it was very inexpensive. A good dinner!

After we ate our fill we went back to the hotel again.
That’s about what we did yesterday~

I’ll upload this quick and start writing on today’s log!
Byebye!
